The Codified Sequence of Shield

« Rattan & Wicker Rondache »
«
Đằng-Bài »

The foundamental Codified Sequence of Shield wielding of Bình-Định Sa-Long-Cương School System is the one of « Wicker Rondache » including 48 coded lines of verse (140 characters).

The foundamental Codified Sequence of Shield wielding from Battlefields Martial Arts School Systeme of Bình-Định is those of « Đằng-Bài Thảo » codified by 20 coded lines of verse (145 characters). It's a rare and precious codified Sequence, still conserved by the School Systeme of the later Founder Grand-Master PHẠM-Tường (the celebrious Master having trained Hương-Mục Ngạc), whom successor is the current Grand-Master PHẠM-Thi, his grandson and son-in-law of renamed Grand-Master LÊ-Hải ( Alias Sáu HÀ ).

Grand-Master PHẠM-Thi was teaching the wielding
of Wicker Rondache « Đằng-Bài »
to Martial Students from Võ-Trận Đại-Việt Academy.

Martial Student Võ-Trận Đại-Việt Academy was training
on foot fighting for the
Codified Sequence of
« The Wicker Rondache - Đằng-Bài », inherent in
the Martial Arts Lineage from Commandeur-TƯỜNG.

This Codified Sequence englobes the essential Eight Techniques of the « Shield on the side - Bàng-Bài » (旁 牌) wielding by combining with the Scimitar or the Sabre.

It is necessary for Students of Vienamese Traditional Martial Arts School, wanting to train for Shield, to know distinguishing between Bàng-Bài ( 旁 牌 - Shield on the side ) and Lăng-Khiên ( 稜 搴 - Polygonal Shield ).

The Codified Sequence of Shield

« Polygonal Shaped Pavois »
«
Lăng-Khiên »

The famous Codified Sequence of Shield wielding from Bình-Định Battlefields Martial Arts is the one of « Polygonal Shape Pavois - Lăng-Khiên ( 稜 搴 ) » including 16 coded lines of verse writen under the form of tetrametric Poem (64 characters).

This Codified Sequence « Polygonal Shape Pavois - Lăng-Khiên » belongs to Battle Fields Martial Arts Codified Sequences. It's used to training infantrymen and cavalrymen for fighting by combining with the Sabre.

It's a truthly rare and precious Codified Sequence still conserved by the School System of Commander PHẠN & Commander THI, whom successor is our Grand-Master Ba-Phong, handed down to the new generation throughout our Võ-Trận Đại-Việt Academy.
