«The Corsake-Pike  « Giáo-Mác » () is a Polearm which was specially used for the Cutting and the Thrusting in the same time, but much more for Cutting than for Thrusting. It appeared also since the « Springs and Autumns Period » (Xuân-Thu Thời-Đại - 春 秋 時 代 722-481 BC), i.e. afterwards the Antique Halberd Qua and the Spear Thương.
That was precisely because of that in the word Corsake-Pike Mác there was the term Qua (Antique Halbrd).

         On the Warring States Period (Chiến-Quốc Thời-Đại - 戰國時代 481-250 BC), the Corsake-Pike Giáo-Mác was called by Hooked-Spear Câu Liêm Thương ( 鉤 鐮 槍 ).

Martial-Student of Traditional Martial Arts from Việt-Nam need to know to distinguish between the Corsake-Pike Giáo-Mác Câu Liêm Thương from Đại-Việt and the Corsake-Pike Giáo-Mác Câu Liêm Thương from China.

         - The Corsake-Pike Giáo-Mác Câu Liêm Thương from China was structurally designed on the basis of the Narrow Bladed Spear holding an edged Hook bended back towards the Skirt of the Spear.

           In nowadays, Chineses call this Corsake-Pike Giáo-Mác Câu Liêm Thương ( 鉤 鐮 槍 ) by Hooked-Spear Câu-Thương ( 鉤 槍 ).

         - The Corsake-Pike Giáo-Mác Câu Liêm Thương from Đại-Việt, fwas structurally designed on the basis of the Shuttle Bladed Spear, holding an edged Hook fixed byside the Spear Blade according to the Antique HJalberd Qua and a counterweight stylized under the form of Snow Flakes situated opposite each other the Spear edge.
